On this frame we collaborated with LEAP Adventures a 501c3 Non-Profit whos mission is "To create empowering experiences for those facing adversity and trauma by providing wilderness programs."   And that they DO!   An amazing organization to be apart of, and we feel very fortunate to be have been able to work with them.

The idea behind this project was to create a safe and stabile way for paraplegic and quadriplegic participants to go on long river trips without the need to carry foldable chairs, or do unnecessary lift assists.   "One chair to rule them all"

It uses some of the most comfortable, and stable seat pads and backrest available which are completely interchangeable to make sure fitment and comfort is perfect for each individual.

It has fully adjustable backrest, thigh support, leg support, foot support and arm rest. The arm rest will swing up out of the way to make room for rowing, and swing down for comfort on the shore.  It has two carry poles that attach to the side of the chair to carry the participant in and out of the raft, as well as up and over any obstacles on shore.  It includes large sand tires to help on the beach (anyone that has ever tried to push a wheel chair on the beach knows how nice these are).

Pictured is (as far as we know) the first Quadriplegic to row the Wild and Scenic Rogue River. Him, along with folks from Orange Torpedo Trips and LEAP worked hand-in-hand with us to help perfect this build over a 3 year period.  It's been an amazing project and we can't wait what they cook up next for their participants.
