The Passenger Chair system was designed for a local Non-Profit organization The Rogue River Institute
It helps them take many non-ambulatory participants down the river that would not normally get the chance to see it first hand. Before this innovation, they had to do dangerous and heavy lifts over the rocky beaches to get the passengers into a boat. Previously they had to ride in an inner tube on the floor of the raft. This was a nice safe way to experience the river, but didn't give the participants much of a view of their surroundings and made it hard for the staff to lift them in and out. This setup gives them the ability to put the passengers in the chair while on the ramp or beach. Attach a couple rickshaw carry poles, and unclip the base. You can then easily carry the participant in and out of the boat. The chair then pins into the raft frame for a safe & comfortable ride. They have an adjustment to tilt them back to help provide stability, as well as optional adjustable head rest and side support.
With the feed back from participants, their family and organizations like RRI we are constantly innovating this product bringing something new to it every year.
